Since Donald Trump's transition into the world of politics and his ascension to the White House, every man and his dog has attempted to pull off an impression of the current president.

For many, Alec Baldwin's take on the 72-year-old was the undisputed best but no one would have predicted that a construction worker from Long Island, New York would come out on top.

A video on Twitter of 58-year-old Thomas Mundy, a former comedian and local radio host, doing a pitch-perfect take on the POTUS has gone viral, racking up more than 3 million views in a matter of days after being shared by Twitter user and Trump supporter, Wojciech Pawelczyk.

Not only is the voice accurate but everything from his mannerism, phrasing and even his look are on point making his viral fame even more hilarious and deserving.

According to the Daily Mail, the video was originally recorded on April 9 by one of his colleagues, working with him on the Long Island Railroad, and shared on social media where it has taken on a life of its own.

Mundy told the Mail that he started to do impressions of Trump after he announced that he would be running for office in 2015 and allegedly has videos even funnier than this one and has been contacted by TV producers, off the back of his viral fame.

I have other videos that are 20 times funnier than that. 'By hook or by crook, whoever put it up must have had [a lot of followers].

I'm in negotiations now with some people from Amazon Studios about some animated Trump show. It's a parody.

I'm totally new to this stuff. For this one video, now people are calling me up. This is so far over my head, I have no idea what's going on.
