Our increased use of the internet is connected to higher levels of cognitive failures or simple errors due to lack of concentration or awareness, new research has found.

Examples of these include spelling mistakes, forgetting appointments or bumping into people on the street, brought about by distraction or hyperactivity.

One fun example is misusing words, and as language has evolved there are some notably common incidents of this.
