Artist Justin Bettman has been using pieces of abandoned furniture to create colourful television-style sets on the streets of New York.
The 'Set in the Street' project sees Bettman, along with stylist Gözde Eker, construct the installations overnight and then leave them for passers-by to interact with the next day.
They then take a wide-lens photo showing the set in the context of its urban environment - surrounded by litter, graffiti and lampposts - as well as a cropped version where that background is all taken out.
The project has become so popular it featured in the city's famous Times Square last week:
The project has also been a hit on Instagram, with users photographing themselves on the sets and sharing the images under the hashtag #setinthestreet.
