Bernie Sanders is back in business, and he's coming for you, Donald Trump.

The 77-year-old senator, who just announced he's running for president again in 2020, kicked off his presidential campaign in his home town of Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday by taking a dig at Donald Trump.

Standing in front of a rally of almost 2,000 people, who endured the icy New York temperatures for the Vermont senator, Sanders spoke about his personal life journey and how he wants to focus on a fight against racism. Alluding to the current White House, Sanders says:

Thank you for being part of a campaign which is not only going to win the Democratic nomination, which is not only going to defeat Donald Trump, the most dangerous president in modern American history ...

I want to welcome you to a campaign which says, loudly and clearly, that the underlying principles of our government will not be greed, hatred and lies.

It will not be racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia and religious bigotry.

His comments were met with a wild cheer from his supporters, as the self-described Democratic socialist continued talking about his promises of $15 minimum wage, tuition-free public colleges, and a single-payer health care programme.

While Sanders may have lost to Hillary Clinton back in 2016, his fiery speech in Brooklyn proves that the 77-year-old has no plans of retiring just yet.

Do you feel the "bern" yet, Donald Trump?
