Boris Johnson needs to defeat ‘Lord Buckethead’ and ‘Count Binface’ to be re-elected

The upcoming general election has been called the most important in modern British history but that doesn’t mean everyone is taking it seriously.

As part of a political tradition that dates back to Margaret Thatcher’s time in power, Boris Johnson will have to defeat a number of novelty candidates to hold on to his Uxbridge and South Ruislip seat.

Those joke candidates include an "interplanetary time lord", "Elmo", a guy from UKIP and two very similar foes - Lord Buckethead AND Count Binface...

You remember Lord Buckethead, right? He was the guy who ran against Theresa May in 2017 with a huge bucket on his head…

Well, it turns out the man behind the mask had to give up the name after an unfortunate copyright battle with the makers of the 1984 film Hyperspace.

But he’s still back to give people the chance to vote for a candidate they can really trust.

There’s a twist though - another masked figure has acquired the rights to the Buckethead name and is now running for the Monster Raving Loony Party as their candidate...

Here’s the unrepentant "official" new Lord Buckethead…

The standoff has put us in the problematic position of having a split novelty vote in this election, harming both candidates’ chances of taking down Johnson.
