It’s the video you didn’t know you needed.

After months of Brexit being compared to a catastrophe and a “sinking ship”, someone has finally made a mash-up video merging Brexit with the iconic film Titanic.

The video, which sees UK politicians edited into one of the most famous disasters ever, has gone viral on Twitter.

It starts with Boris Johnson stating "Brexit means Brexit and we are going to make a Titanic success of it". Next we see former prime minister David Cameron, the embattled captain of the Titanic, stating that there is “no going back”, before the infamous red “Boris Bus” smashes into the ship.

As Johnson and Michael Gove wrestle for power, the ship begins to sink. Johnson eventually escapes in a life boat, while Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn plays the the role of one of the ship's musicians who kept on playing as it sank.

As Captain Cameron goes down with the ship, the pound can be seen plummeting off the edge. Titanic eventually splits in two, and is illuminated with 48 and 52 per cent – the final Brexit vote outcome.

Safe in a life boat, May can be heard robotically stating that it’s time to “seize” the opportunities of Brexit.

In a bizarre turn, the clip ends with Nigel Farage drawing Donald Trump naked, in a nod to the film’s iconic nude scene.

The creator of this incredible video is unknown, but whoever it is, we salute you.
