Donald Trump brought an audience with him when he visited the CIA to give a speech, according to CBS News.

It's bee a bit of a rough first few days for Donald Trump and his team; They began their time in office having to rebuff claims about the size of the property tycoon's inauguration crowd.

And now, a day after his inauguration, the president's team appear on the back foot again after a visit to the CIA headquarters.

News broadcaster CBS reports that:

[Authorities] say the first three rows in front of the president were largely made up of supporters of Mr. Trump’s campaign.

According to an official, there were about 40 people in the crowd who had been invited by Trump’s team.

However, the White House’s press secretary, Sean Spicer, has denied the claims and said they were “All CIA”.

CBS also reports that about 400 members of the CIA RSVP’d for the event out of the thousands who has been invited – refuting claims from the White House that there were people waiting to get into Trump’s speech.

Post-truth times, indeed.
