Ivanka Trump says it's 'inappropriate' to ask her about sexual assault but she missed one big problem

Ivanka Trump told NBC’s Peter Alexander during an interview that it was “inappropriate” to ask her, a daughter, about allegations of sexual assault against her father - despite being employed as a senior adviser to the President.

When asked about what she thought of the allegations, she quickly defended her position by saying:.

I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated there’s no truth to it.

I don’t think that’s a question you would ask many daughters.

However, people have been pointing out one big hole in her defence: in the White House, she’s not just a daughter.

Ivanka Trump is a *senior*advisor to the president, and such questions, especially given the inherent ambiguity surrounding the topic, are fair game.

Also, the interview was conducted during her visit to South Korea – as part of a US delegation as Donald Trump’s senior advisor – not as his daughter.
