Kenosha teen shooting suspect spotted in front row of Trump rally in January

Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder after allegedly shooting two people at a protest in Wisconsin, was on the front row of a Trump rally in January.

Rittenhouse travelled more than 20 miles from his home in Antioch to the protests in Kenosha over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, before allegedly shooting one person in the head and another in the chest. One of the victims has been identified as 26-year-old Anthony Huber.

Rittenhouse's social media presence, which has since been deleted, suggests that he was a Trump supporter and advocate of 'Blue Lives Matter'.

He was also photographed on the front row of a Trump rally in Des Moines, Iowa on 30 January this year.

Rittenhouse also uploaded a TikTok of the event, revealing his close proximity to the podium.

Asked about Rittenhouse's attendance at the rally, White House aide Kellyanne Conway said:

We’re not responsible for the private conduct of people at our rallies any more than... all the crazy people who have been involved with the Obama/Biden campaigns or other things.

Rittenhouse is being held at the Lake County juvenile detention facility pending a hearing on his possible extradition to Wisconsin.

He has been assigned a public defender.
