Comedian reveals what Tory minister Matt Hancock was thinking during disastrous interview

Comedian Michal Spicer has memorably skewered Matt Hancock after the latter’s disastrous appearance on Good Morning Britain.

In the clip, that has gone viral, Spicer has produced another in his “room next door” videos in which he plays a beleaguered aide attempting to feed advice into the earpiece of a politician, in this case, Hancock, the secretary of state for Health and Social Care.

While Hancock is grilled by Susanna Reid and spectacularly fails to justify cutting 21, 000 police officers by claiming to have added 20, 000 new officers (still a net loss of 1, 000 for the maths fans out there), Spicer is seen pleading with his man to stop repeating himself and actually offer something of substance.

As you can imagine, hilarity ensures.
