Michelle Obama reveals what she was really thinking on Trump's inauguration day

January 20, 2017, was a historic day for the entire planet as Donald Trump was inaugurated as president and it's been one hell of a ride since then.

It's hard to think back to that date, which was almost two years ago now and remember exactly what was going through our heads but we were probably laughing at the size of the crowd that showed up.

One person who can perfectly remember her thoughts on that momentous day is Michelle Obama, who is currently on a promotional tour of her new book.

When talking to Jimmy Fallon on the most recent episode of The Tonight Show the Former First Lady was asked about a now iconic picture of her and Barack Obama on that day waving to their supporters before boarding Air Force One for one final time.

She gave just a two-word response to the question and to be honest, it was so funny it even stopped Fallon in his tracks. She simply said:

Bye, Felicia.

If you aren't quite aware of what Michelle is on about she is referencing the classic 90s comedy Friday starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker.

The phrase has become something of a classic slang term that has almost transcended the movie and become a regular piece of vocabulary.

Here is the exact scene she is referencing.

She added a few other lines, including the inconvenience of one last sleepover that her daughter's friends wanted to have at the White House and a subtle bit of shade thrown on Melania Trump.

A lot was going on that day. That was day.

And right before that, my daughter's friends decided they needed a sleepover for the last day and I was like 'are guys you kidding me? we are leaving. You've gotta take all your stuff. Pick it up. The blankets the bears. They're all crying. Get out. We've gotta go.'

So there was that, the Tiffany's box. It was all a lot.

'Bye, Felica' undoubtedly stole the show and people were loving how casually she dropped the line during the interview.

You can watch the full segment, where she also spoke about attending marriage counselling, in the video below.
