According to the website Christ in Prophecy, the Red Hot Chili Peppers worship Satan.

Yes, the band with Anthony Kiedis and the Flea.

Yes, the ones behind Californication, Under the Bridge, Suck my Kiss, Scar Tissue, Dani California, Otherside and Snow.

The website sites their 1992 MTV awards, where Kiedis thanked Satan for their award, alongside Salvador Dali, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis and Muhammad Ali.

The Christ in Prophecy website incorrectly cites the quote from Anthony Kiedis to a generics spokesman and attributes it to the 1991 MTV Award, when it actually occurred the year following.

Meanwhile, the Good Fight Ministries YouTube channel says in an accusatory video:

Like so many artists who are leading the masses away from God to Hell, the Red Hot Chili Peppers pay homage to Satan and are being used by the satanic powers of darkness.

The video has 135,000 views.

Another video, by the self-titled "Vigilant Christian", whose channel has amassesed 400,000 subscribers, says:

For those of you who don't know, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold their soul for fame and fortune in the entertainment industry.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been plagued with accusations of Satanism since the 1992 stunt, in which Keidis read out an eclectic list of men in humour, perhaps notably not thanking a woman.

He said his Grandmother, a devout Christian, was furious at the stunt, in his 2004 memoir Scar Tissue.

I had to write Granny a postcard on her eightieth birthday, explaining that I wasn't really a Satanist.

Ever since, they've been the subject of conspiracy theories of the occult by the Christian right.

So to any bands out there wanting to get a following of several million teens enjoying a particularly tame rebellious streak from their Christian parents, just say a few words of praise to Moloch, Mammon or Beelzebub.

Guaranteed listenership if you ask us.

Either way, the Red Hot Chili's haven't just made fame and acclaim on the wings of Mulciber, they've made some jams.
