Being a teacher should be a dream job for many. Teaching a group of eager youngsters about a subject you are passionate about. What could be better than that?

Unfortunately, the reality of the occupation is far from ideal. Not only are funds for schools falling globally but students are becoming more and more unruly.

For one sixth-grade teacher in Texas, the behaviour of the students at Cedar Creek Intermediate School and the entitlement of parents has caused her to say 'enough is enough'.

Last week, Julie Marburger wrote a viral post on Facebook declaring that she was quitting her job at the end of the year and lamented parents for ruining her job.

She detailed that an incident involving a parent that day, along with the school administrators failing to back teachers was causing her to hand in her resignation.

In addition, she shared several photos of her classroom, which contained her own personal items that had been damaged by the students.

The post has since been shared over 400,000 times on Facebook with many people replying with their support and similar stories.

Whether this is an isolated story or a representation of a bigger picture, it is still alarming nonetheless and if it were to continue could become an epidemic for the educational system in the future.

Earlier this year official stats published by the UK Government showed that cuts led to 15,000 fewer staff in secondary schools in England, while pupil numbers continue to grow.
