The moment Nick Kyrgios decided to completely give up at Wimbledon

Nick Kyrgios appeared to completely give up at one point in his fourth round match against Richard Gasquet on Monday.

One set down and losing 2-0 in the second, the Australian sent back two very weak returns and then appeared to feebly present Gasquet with two aces by walking away as the Frenchman's serves came over the net.

Not only did Gasquet look confused as to what was going on but the Wimbledon crowd also showed their annoyance through a series of boos.

The 20-year-old, who is quickly gaining a reputation as the "bad boy" of tennis, earlier gained another verbal warning from umpire James Keothavong for an "audible obscenity" in the second set. He then gave the umpire an ironic applause.

At the beginning of the third set he engaged in another heated exchange with the umpire over being asked to hurry up between games.

I’m staying on the court. If you’re going to get angry with me that, that's another level. I’m changing my socks. You want me to ask him? Richard, I’m just changing my socks. Yeah, he’s fine.

Love him or loathe him, he's certainly a character.
