Trump branded a 'loser' for finally wearing a mask after thousands have already died

After months of saying that he wouldn't wear a mask, Trump has finally decided to cover his face and protect himself from coronavirus and prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

That's right, during a visit to the Walter Reed military hospital in Washington, the president opted to cover his nose and mouth after months of downplaying their effectiveness and refusing to wear one out of fear that it would make him look weak and would shift the focus away from the economic recovery. Trump has also accused journalists of only wearing the masks to be 'politically correct' despite wearing a mask in public being the official White House advice.

However, Trump had acknowledged that masks should be worn if people were close together indoors and had already confirmed that he would be wearing the mask when speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News on Thursday, saying:

I’m going to Walter Reed to see some of our great soldiers who have been injured. Badly injured. And also see some of our COVID workers, people who have done such a great job. And I expect to be wearing a mask when I go into Walter Reed. You’re in a hospital so I think it’s a very appropriate thing.

Although we should at least applaud Trump for finally wearing a mask we can't help but feel that he should have at least done this months ago, when the pandemic was at it's peak and not after 137,000 people had died in his country and more than 3 million have been infected. Needless to say, people were not impressed with the president taking this long to finally get his act together.

Trump's little stunt, which is being compared to him posing outside of church with a Bible, during the Black Lives Matter protests in June has at least pleased members of his administration and campaign team who are so delighted that they now think he is going to walk the 2020 election against Joe Biden, who has been wearing a mask in public since the pandemic began.

Images have also emerged of Trump wearing the mask below his nose but we cannot determine their authenticity but here they are anyway, just for comedic sake.

Trump had once been pictured in a mask before during a trip to the Ford plant in Michigan back in May but removed it before he faced the press. He had also declared that he liked the masks because he believed that they made him look like The Lone Ranger despite the character wearing his mask over his eyes.
