Trump Jr just shared a picture comparing his father to the Tiger King – a man currently serving 22 years in federal prison

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the Netflix docu-series Tiger King.

If someone would have told you in January that by the end of March we would all be forced to stay indoors to prevent the spread of a virus and the only thing keeping us entertained would be a very eccentric gay man from Oklahoma who owns more than 200 tigers, then, it's safe to say, that not many people would believe you.

However, this is the very bizarre situation that we find ourselves in and one small glimmer of distraction is the new Netflix true-crime series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness which follows the turbulent life of Joe Exotic, whose zoo of exotic animals sees him drawn into politics and a shady plot to assassinate an animal rights activist and eventually winding up with a 22-year sentence in federal prison.

It's an extraordinary story but he's definitely someone that you wouldn't want to aspire to.

Donald Trump Jr wanted to get in on the action by sharing a meme on Instagram of his dad's face superimposed on to the head of main character Joe Exotic complete with the caption: "Hahahahaha I love the internet. I heard about this guy."

It's safe to say that Trump Jr hasn't watched this documentary yet because if he had he definitely wouldn't want to be comparing his dad to the self-proclaimed 'Tiger King'.

That being said, he really should have done some research before sharing the meme.

Joe Exotic is the villain of the show. A tiger breeder who tried to run for president, and was convicted on 17 federal charges of animal abuse and two counts of murder-for-hire for attempting to kill Carole Baskin, the CEO of an animal rights organisation. He is currently serving a 22-year sentence in federal prison.

The fact that the meme is still on his Instagram page suggests no one has told him about who Joe Exotic is and what he is up to now. Either that or he holds his father in even lower regard than the rest of us.
