"I'm not happy about it, obviously not one second I'm happy about it," said Roger Federer in a post-match press conference at the French Open.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion was bemoaning the fact that a boy had managed to evade security at Roland Garros and approach him on Court Philippe Chatrier at the end of his first round match on Sunday.

Although the boy only wanted to take a selfie, the tennis star's anger is easy to understand when you consider that a man sneaked onto a court in 1993 and stabbed nine-time champion Monica Seles.

Federer added that it wasn't even the first time a security breach of its kind had happened this week. In the same press conference he said four other children had tried to do the same on a practice court on Saturday.

On centre court, where you would think this is a place where nobody can come on. He just wanders on and nothing happens... I definitely think this is something that, something needs to happen quickly. That's where you do your job, that's where you want to feel safe.
