Why this is by far the greatest costume worn at Comic-Con

It may not be as flashy or attention-grabbing as some of the cosplay from this year's Comic-Con, but the trench coat and backpack seen here is actually by far the best, and most poignant, you'll see in San Diego this year.

The man sporting the coat and bag is Congressman John Lewis, who wore similar attire when he marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr and other civil rights leaders from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

The march was recently immortalised in the Oscar-winning film Selma starring David Oyelowo as MLK and Stephan James as Lewis himself.

Lewis, the representative for Georgia's 5th congressional district since 1987, is at Comic-Con to promote the final part of his award-winning graphic novel trilogy March.

He posted the above photo on his Facebook page with the words: "Our children are the future."

Our children are the future.
