The mother of 19 year old woman says her daughter was killed by a train while taking photos on train tracks to launch a modelling career.

Fredzania Thompson, who attended Blinn College in Bryan, Texas, was a student athlete, who was hoping to open career opportunities with a photoshoot.

Her mother Hakamie Stephenson, told the Eagle she was a student athlete who put her education on hold to pursue fashion:

She was more interested in modeling.

That's definitely what she wanted to do. It's what she had started to do the day she was deceased.

Thompson, who was engaged, was apparently pregnant at the time of her death.

Authorities say she was standing between tracks in Navasota on Friday.

A BNSF Railway train approached, and while attempting to avoid it, she was struck by a Union Pacific train coming in the other direction.

The photographer was reportedly not hurt.

Thompson died of her injuries en route to her hospital. Stevenson told the Eagle:

She was very helpful to her siblings.

She was very outgoing, and made sure that everything was taken care of with them. She was a leader.
