While we wait to see when we'll next get to experience any goodness from the Marvel Cinematic Universe we can continue to look back on Avengers: Endgame and there seems to be an endless amount of trivia and Easter eggs for fans in that film.

For anyone who has seen the film, you won't need us to remind you of the jaw-dropping scene where Captain America was forced to fight his past self in the Avengers watchtower in order to retrieve Loki's scepter, which was a vessel for one of the six Infinity stones during the 'time travel heist.'

The fight wasn't just some clever CGI special effects or camera trickery. No, it was two stuntmen, brothers in fact, who were slugging it out, albeit with Chris Evans face superimposed on their bodies. The story doesn't end there though.

You see the brothers are Sam and Daniel Hargrave, the former of which had worked with Marvel since the first Avengers film back in 2012, where he was the double for Cap. However, by the time it came to film Endgame, Daniel had taken over the role as the body double for Steve Rogers alter-ego.

Yet with this scene in mind and the need for two people to play the hero, Sam was allowed to play Captain America one last time, with his brother playing the other Cap in the scene.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Sam Hargrave, who was promoting the new Netflix action-thriller Extraction recounted how this came about:

That's why I got back in the suit, so that I could say that. Marvel's great at this, but there's a lot of digital face replacement and there's a lot of epic moments where that is the brothers Hargrave duking it out on screen in. And that's the reason I did it, because that stuff lives forever. You get to tell your kids, your grandkids, that that was me and my brother doubling and fighting in that movie.

Here is the full fight scene, just in case you couldn't quite remember it.

So, next time you settle down to watch that film and reach this scene just remember that it is two brothers up on the screen having a blast just one last time.
