Demi Lovato apologised for ‘offending anyone’ after she shared a story about pranking her body guard elicited critics.
The Sorry Not Sorry singer hosted a Q&A on Twitter with fans, when one of them asked about the funniest prank she ever pulled.
I hired a lady of the night in Vegas and sent her to Max’ hotel room to surprise him. She walked into his room without permission and grabbed him in his ‘area’ and he freaked the fuck out hahahahaha.
The tweet received mixed responses from fans, with some bringing up issues of consent.
Others used the opportunity to point out an important double standard around the issue of sexual assault, when it comes to men and women:

A security account attributed to Max and believed to be the bodyguard in question, tweeted that he was not offended.
