Disney+ just added hundreds of new films and TV shows

Disney+ has added hundreds of hours of new films and TV shows today.

If you’re not a fan of Marvel, Pixar or Disney’s classic animated movies, the streaming service has got your needs covered through Star, a new section aimed at grown-ups.

The content comes from Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Fox and 20th Television with favourites such as Atlanta, 24, How I Met Your Mother, Lost and Desperate Housewives.

Movie fans are also catered for with a mixture of classics and newer releases, with selections ranging from Independence Day to The Favourite.

The update includes new original shows, such as Big Sky, a detective drama from the people who brought you Big Little Lies and The Undoing, plus Marvel’s supernatural horror series Helstrom, and Love, Victor, a spinoff of the LGBT+ movie Love, Simon.

For fans of Rick and Morty, there’s Solar Opposite from creator Justin Roiland, another animated series only for adults.

Parents can stop their little ones from discovering the not so child-friendly content by using the in-built restrictions.

For existing subscribers, you do not even need to do anything; it is already included in your package.

The new addition to the platform is being launched simultaneously across Europe, Canada and New Zealand and is being seen as a substitute for Hulu, another Disney-owned service, only available in the US.
