After news broke that Joe Biden had won the presidential election, Americans across the country took to the streets for spontaneous parties celebrating the Democrat’s victory.

And Jennifer Lawrence was one of them.

In a video posted to her Twitter, Lawrence ran through the streets of Boston giddily screaming and dancing as she blasted Childish Gambino’s ‘This is America’ through a portable speaker. Evidently, she must’ve been so excited about Biden’s win that she didn’t let being in her pyjamas stop her from throwing an impromptu celebration.

“Had no choice but to throw a party for 1,” she captioned the post. It’s all very wholesome.

Lawrence is currently in the city for filming of Adam McKay’s Netflix film Don’t Look Up, which has a cast so large that it feels like every actor on the planet is in it. She is joined by numerous megawatt stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande and Timothée Chalamet.

Lawrence’s fans were loving her moves, and a few Bostonians even spotted the actor without realising it was her.

Lawrence recently came under fire when she admitted that she was a Republican and voted for John McCain in 2008. However, she had a change of heart by the time Trump came around, as she realised she was “voting against her own rights”.

In an interview with V Magazine, she also announced her support for Biden and Kamala Harris, saying:

I’m voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris this year because Donald Trump has and will continue to put himself before the safety and well-being of America. He does not represent my values as an American, and most importantly as a human being.

The video is a change from her usual social media content. The actor sparingly uses Twitter to promote Represent Us, a non-partisan organisation which aims to fix the political system in the US. Clearly, it seems like it's working.
