The Gallagher brothers aren't exactly the most eloquent individuals walking the face of the Earth at the moment but, when it comes to politics, they speak a lot clearer than some of our elected officials.

Just days after Noel told people 'complaining about Brexit to go to North Korea', his brother Liam has declared that he wants to the next prime minister and, to be honest, he's got some pretty valid reasons.

Taking a thinly veiled shot at nearly all of the Tory leadership candidates, notably Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Rory Stewart, mocking the alleged drug usage and how many children they have, Gallagher outlined the reasons why he should be PM in a tweet posted on Tuesday morning.

He then followed this up by pointing out that you can't spell 'parliament' without 'Liam', which is as logical a point that any of the leadership contenders have made so far.

As you can imagine, many people on Twitter have found Gallagher's intervention into this contest to be absolutely hilarious.

Liam hasn't let Noel get away with his comments about Brexit either.

On Sunday he took a swipe at his brother, calling him out for criticising people on the subject when he even admitted that he didn't vote in the 2016 referendum.

So, Liam for prime minister? Definitely, maybe?
