A party bag containing a slice of cake and other goodies were arguably one of the best parts of being invited to a birthday party as a child, yet the contents of this year’s unofficial Oscars gift bag puts all that to shame.
Los Angeles marketing agency Dinstinctive Assets will shower nominees in the Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories with gifts totalling more than six figures once again.
Last year’s ‘Everyone Wins’ gift bag was reportedly priced at $225,000, and included items such as a smart bra, meditation headband and a submarine trip.
Now, in 2021, items include an emergency hammer from the animal rights charity PETA to break car windows and rescue dogs in hot cars, a pack of 50 face masks, and a holiday to the Pater Noster lighthouse hotel on the west coast of Sweden.
The full list of goodies, published by Variety, is also reported to include plastic surgery from Art Lipo, a happiness planner, bath bombs, and the Exploding Kittens card game.

There’s several gadgets thrown in too, including a sound-based acupuncture device and a GPS tracker for pets, as well as a copy of the anti-racist children’s book Change-Maker Village by Mel Kaspin Blume.
Nominated celebs will also be offered professional advice, too, with a private tutorial by venture capitalist Courtney Lawless and complimentary project management from Maison Construction also on the list.
“This year’s Everyone Wins Nominee Gift Bag is full of incredible brands that embrace diversity, inclusion, health and philanthropy,” Distinctive Assets said in an Instagram post sharing the items.
It appears as though Distinctive Assets aren’t the only company looking to treat this year’s Oscar nominees, with Page Six reporting that Hollywood’s GBK Brand Bar is offering its own gift bags – worth $60,000 – to the nominated film stars.
Gifts available include trips to the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Fiji and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
