On the day the prime minister resigned the last thing that you'd expect to see making headlines is the BBC property show Homes Under the Hammer.
The show hosted by Martel Maxwell, Martin Roberts and former footballer Dion Dublin, is usually broadcast at 10am every weekday morning on BBC One.
However, the show had to be cancelled this morning as Theresa May's resignation speech started at that exact time, meaning that viewers had to do without the daily intake of property auctions.
Despite possibly the biggest story of the year transpiring on live TV, Twitter users began to voice their displeasure at May hogging the airtime with her breaking news speech.
Some people soon figured out that show had been moved to BBC Two so you could say it was crisis averted, at least away from Westminster...
