CNN urgently needs to hire more staff in its graphics department

CNN this morning managed to call the terror attack on a Jerusalem synagogue which killed four worshippers an attack on a mosque.

The broadcaster told the caption was a mistake and it "regret[s] the error".

It's the latest in a series of graphical gaffes by CNN, our favourite being its Scottish independence poll which didn't quite add up.

On the UK theme, there was also that time confusion arose over London's location.

CNN also managed to confused Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden earlier this month.

And when it couldn't remember where Hong Kong was.

Still it could always be worse...

A lot worse.
