McDonald's has scrapped its festive pie and the world is a darker place

Mc Donalds, the pinnacle of takeaway restaurants (one of modern time’s most delightful oxymorons), has released its Christmas menu. But among new introductions, people soon realised something was missing.

The very staple of Christmas – the mincemeat and custard embrace that is the Festive Pie – has been axed from the menu.

The warm, crispy delight has been replaced by the Chocolatey Banoffee Pie.

But that's not much of a consolation for these customers, who are not happy:

Some people just gave downright threats:

And some spoke on behalf of their pets:

Someone had better call Santa, because Christmas has been well and truly cancelled.
