Like the ride of the Valkyries, the cynics and the sarcasmics of the internet have come to save us.

The flogging of 'Tube Chat' - the badges encouraging Londoners to talk to each other on public transport - has been brutal.

Let that be a lesson to the rest of you.

A lesson worth learning. Sliding Doors is a work of fiction. 'Tube Chat' will not be like when Gwyneth Paltrow fell in love with John Hannah after meeting him on the tube.

It will be like Sliding Doors when Gwyneth Paltrow gets mugged.
