Lammily, the 'anti-Barbie' children's doll, is growing up.
The alternative to the impossible body proportions of classic dolls launched last year, complete with stick-on acne, freckles, stretch marks and grass and dirt stains to emulate the realities of being a little girl.
Now Lammily comes with period accessories like pads to teach kids about puberty - because, as the promo video says, 'real girls period'.
The 'Period Party' accessory pack for Lammily includes pad and liner stickers for her underwear, a calendar and sticker dots to keep track of the time of the month, and an educational pamphlet.
Lammily's website reads:
...While being a huge part of female life, this perfectly healthy natural process is still surrounded with taboos.
Let’s start an open and positive conversation about our periods.
