BBC presenters can't pronounce Whalley and people have had enough

Whalley, Lancashire is just one of the hundreds of locations hit by severe flooding this winter.

As a result, it has been featured on the news regularly in recent days.

However, BBC news anchors have been having trouble pronouncing the name of the Ribble Valley village.

FYI Whalley is not pronounced wally. Twitter will tell you that:

People even have personal wagers on whether the Beeb will get it right eventually...

For future reference is is pronounced wor-lee.
