Isis Karaoke is dropping songs, not bombs (on Twitter)

Dropping songs, not bombs is the tagline of your favourite new Twitter account, Isis Karaoke.

The extremist group has reportedly banned music in Raqqa, the capital of what it calls a caliphate. What better way to deflate the spectre of Isis than with the catchy Western abomination known as popular music?

The account's premise is simple but amusingly effective. Just take a picture of someone with Islamic extremism links shouting propaganda into a microphone, pair it with incongruous pop lyrics, and voila:

And who knew Isis head honcho Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has a soft spot for Madonna?

The possibilities are endless.
