There's nothing familiar about this new Chinese brand whatsoever

Of course, it could all be an amazing coincidence...

But there's no denying that the entire branding of this new Chinese sportswear initiative - weirdly named Uncle Martian - is remarkably similar to that of American sportswear company Under Armour.

Just look at it...

Everything from the distinctive hooped logo to the prominent use of red basically screams 'copycat', but the heads of Uncle Martian played it very cool at their grand launch yesterday.

The shoe manufacturer Tingfei Long Sport Goods Co, based in China's Fujian province, run Uncle Martian and are thus to blame for this marketing crossover.

Top-quality sportswear is in high-demand amongst China's wealthy professionals, but it remains to be seen whether they'll trust such a blatant knock-off.
