Rob Gonsalves is a Canadian painter whose distinctive style of mind-binding art is influenced by Dali.

He tells his inspiration comes from having a "childlike sense of wonder about the world"

Many of my images are an attempt to show that by bringing one's imagination to bear on simple life experiences, the everyday can become extraordinary, and one can sense the possibility of transcending boundaries. I often find inspiration in nature, but also in architecture and I like to develop ideas that show connections between diverse elements and environments.

Take a look at some of his incredible work below - and don't forget to look closely.
