A visualisation revealing the tribal nature of Westminster's politicians

The likelihood of a cooperative coalition being formed after the election looks unlikely. That's if this new visualisation revealing the tribal nature of Westminster politicians online is anything to go by anyway.

The network, produced by Nesta as part of its Political Futures Tracker, shows mutual connections between social media savvy MPs on Twitter.

It appears that the Westminster Twitterati form a close-knit group, mostly following members of the same party - hence their close clustering.

Each MP is represented by a node and the colour indicates their party. The nodes are connected if both MPs follow each other on Twitter. Larger nodes correspond to more connections.
