At Halloween, you are allowed to dress up as whatever you like. There aren't any rules and it's all just a bit of fun and games, right?
That's what one young girl thought when she decided that she wanted to dress up as 'The Mighty' Thor from Marvel's The Avengers for Halloween, which we have to agree, is a fine choice.
Her dad was in full support of his daughter's choice of superhero and was so proud of her that he took a picture and shared it on Reddit.
Unfortunately, this is the internet and for every nice thing, there is a troll who wants to ruin everything and make everyone feel bad.
According to Someecards the troll wrote:
This is how you create a lesbian.
Better counteract now.
Bear in mind that this is a six-year-old girl, who probably doesn't have a clue about her life at the moment other than she likes superheroes who hail from Asgard and wield a magic hammer.
To be honest, we sometimes wish we were this young and innocent but - as annoying as it may sound - a troll needs to be put in their place and that's exactly what the dad did.
Posting in the subreddit MurderedByWords he came back with a perfect put down which highlighted just how ignorant the trolls homophobia was.
So you think you there is something wrong if my daughter was to grow up to be lesbian?
As her father all I want for my daughter is for her to grow up, be happy and be healthy, if she grows up to be gay and that makes her happy so be it.
You really need to take a look in the mirror and think do you want to be that person who tries to somehow in your twisted way insult a 6-year-old who is clearly happy dressed as her favourite superhero?
How great was that?
Also, someone should really point out to the troll that since 2014, the mantle of Thor has been portrayed by Jane Foster in the comics.
