The difference in how Black Friday is marked in the US and UK

Friday 27 November 2015 13:30

We are very happy to report that Britons everywhere are rallying to treat Black Friday with the disdain it deserves.

UK media outlets and retailers have driven themselves into a frenzy over the consumerist US invention in the last few years.

While midnight in the US last night looked like this:

There's evidence that many Brits have quietly, firmly decided that Black Friday is Not A Thing.

Sheffield: won't somebody please think of the children?

There's chaos in Birmingham.

London, go stand in the corner and think about what you've done.

And it all kicked off in Blackpool.

Keep calm and carry on, Britain. Keep calm and carry on.
