This delightful picture of Barack Obama posing in a pink tiara with girl scouts was posted on Instagram by official White House photographer Pete Souza just before Christmas.
It was taken in May at the White House's annual Science Fair, where Souza said the scouts from Tulsa, Oklahoma, had exhibited a "Lego flood proof bridge project".
They aren't just good with science: the girl scouts also succeeded where the US navy failed in persuading the President to don some headgear.
In April 2013, Obama reportedly declined to wear an American football helmet presented to him by two members of the navy's team, saying: "You don’t put stuff on your head if you’re president. That’s politics 101. You never look good wearing something on your head."
We prefer Obama the rule breaker.
