Watching state-of-the-art rescue robots falling over is quite hilarious

This weekend the world's elite robots battled it out in California for millions of dollars' worth of prizes in a competition organised by the Pentagon.

In the Darpa Robotics Challenge Finals, robots and their engineers had to complete a set of tasks that simulate the aftermath of emergencies or natural disasters, including driving vehicles, removing rubble and climbing up stairs.

This is all very impressive, and we offer our congratulations to Team Kaist's DRC-Hubo robot for winning the overall prize of $2million, but the main reason we're here is to watch some robots falling over.

You see, there were actually quite a few bumps and bruises along the way...

OK quite a lot in fact...

That's going to hurt the next day...

No-one wants to see that...

We can all relate to this...
