Trump said he didn't call all immigrants 'animals' and this man made an important point

Donald Trump was forced to clarify his statements about immigrants following intense criticism for calling some of them “animals”.

The US president blamed “weak laws” for allowing criminals and gangs to enter the country illegally during a meeting with conservative Californiapoliticians.

His remarks came after reports the White House was preparing to separate children of migrants from their parents and detain them inwarehouses on military bases.

During the rant, about the MS-13 gang, he told a number of television stations and journalists:

We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in, we’re stopping a lot of them.

We’re taking people out of the country; you wouldn’t believe how bad these people are.

These aren’t people, these are animals. And we’re taking them out of the country at a level, at a rate, that’s never happened before.

Trump defended himself, calling reports Fake News'. He attempted to correct reports and said he had called some, not all immigrants "animals".

As Voxreports, it's not entirely clear who Trump is actually referring to: Trump was not asked a question about MS-13 or a question at all.

His response rferred to people "trying to come into the country" and then people who are being "taken out of the country".

All in all, it's hard to decode who exactly he was calling an "animal".

Who he was referring to as "animal" doesn't matter, says Scott Hechinger, an American attorney.

And he took to Twitter to remind everyone of one important thing - that no one should be described as subhuman.

Says it all.
