'Baby Shark Dance' is officially the most watched video on YouTube and parents everywhere are not shocked at all.

The song and music video – produced by Korean children's educational brand PinkFong – went viral in 2016 and has been stuck in people’s heads ever since.

So much so that it just surpassed 7.042 billion views and overtook Luis Fonsi’s remix of Justin Bieber’s song “Despacito” (with their measly 7.038 billion views).

Just to give you some perspective – if played back-to-back, Baby Shark has been streamed continuously for 30,187 years.

To celebrate, PinkFong updated their YouTube channel with a banner that read:

Baby Shark Dance! Most viewed YouTube video.

The top 10 most viewed YouTube videos of all time feature a total of four children songs.

Episode 17 of Russian TV show Masha and The Bear, entitled 'Recipe for Disaster' comes in at number five, viral video 'Johny Johny Yes Papa' in sixth and another Russian video called 'Colorful eggs on the farm' by Miroshka TV takes number nine.

Baby Shark isn’t the only Korean entry in the top 10 though, with Psy’s 'Gangnam Style' picking up the number eight spot.

The rest of the top 10 are various songs like Justin Bieber's 'Sorry', Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You', Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' and Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again'.
