This picture of Jennifer Lawrence and her male co-stars is shocking people

A photo of Jennifer Lawrence alongside her Red Sparrow male colleagues is causing quite a stir.

The photograph in question shows Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons, Matthias Schoenaerts and director Francis Lawrence all dressed for the cold.

Jennifer Lawrence on the other hand, wears a black Versace dress with a high slit on the side.

People have stuff to say about it.

Helen Lewis, deputy editor of the New Statesman, pointed out that it was freezing outside:

And while the men were dressed up warm, Lawrence was...not

However, others are pointing out Jennifer Lawrence has agency - that she can make her own choices about what she does and doesn't wear

Are we actually “making a mountain out of a molehill” ?

Perhaps she was simply promoting a Versace dress...
