Instead of talking about jobs, Donald Trump forced this man to talk about his hole in one

President Trump is no stranger to hypocrisy, bragging and self-aggrandising.

Or attention-deficit distraction.

But this is pretty spectacular, even for the Donald...

Here we have Trump meeting with manufacturing CEOs to discuss bringing back all those jobs lost via globalisation and the march of time.

Or just, how to improve the economy.

But rather than actually taking advice from industry experts, Trump instead made Jeff Immelt describe his hole-in-one.

No, not Immelt's. His own. Trump's hole-in-one.

Trump actually asked someone else to describe Trump's golfing prowess.

Here's the transcript:

Immelt: "Great to be here, looking forward to really working with you on creating more..."

Trump interrupts: "Jeff actually watched me make a hole-in-one, can you believe it? Should you tell that story?"

Immelt: "We were trying to talk President Trump into doing The Apprentice; that was my assignment when we owned NBC. President Trump goes up to a par 3 on his course."

He looks to the three of us and says, you realise of course that I'm the richest golfer in the world?"

That's a comment. Then gets a hole-in-one.

I have to say, I've seen the magic before.

Trump: "It's a crazy. It's a crazy."

No I actually said I was the best golfer of all the rich people, to be exact. And then I got a hole-in-one.

So it was sorta cool.

One is gently reminded of how Trump used to criticise Obama for campaigning in his last year of presidency "instead of creating jobs".

More: Obama’s travel and safety expenses were about $97m over 8 years. Trump is already at $10m

More: In 2016, Trump criticised Obama for campaigning instead of creating jobs. Guess what Trump was doing this week…
