Donald Trump likes Taylor Swift '25% less' after she endorses Democrat

Donald Trump becomes the latest Republican to add his appalled voice to the mix after Taylor Swift endorsed two Democrat candidates in Tennessee.

On Sunday, the 'Look What You Made Me Do' singer voiced her rare support for Democrat Phil Bredesen over Republican candidate Marsha Blackburn, who Swift said “appals and terrifies" her.

Donald Trump has expressed his acute ire through the use of mathematics.

The US president said likes Swift’s music “about 25 per cent less now".

Yep, the leader of the free world decided to let a 28-year-old pop star know that her political choices have made him less of a stan.

Following his return to the White House on Monday, Trump was asked about Taylor’s public decision. He said:

I’m sure Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything about [Blackburn]. I like Taylor’s music about 25 per cent less now, OK?

Swift said that in the past she had been “reluctant” to air her political views, but due to “several events” in her life, she decided to go ahead and talk about it. This could be a reference to her winning a sexual assault case and her very public spat with Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian.

In response, Republicans and white nationalists that stalk the website 4chan - who once called Swift an “Aryan goddess” - are fuming.

The National Republican Senate Committee said in a statement that “multimillionaire pop star Taylor Swift came down from her ivory tower to tell hardworking Tennesseans to vote for Phil Bredesen".

Right-wing pundit Candace Owens volunteered to campaign for Blackburn and blamed Swift for using “black people and minorities as pawns to brainwash people into doing their bidding".

According to the New York Times, Swift is most popular in rural areas in the US that tend to vote conservative.

Still, she’s probably not going to have to worry about album sales all that much.

Besides, the real question is - what percentage does Trump like Swift now?
