Despite playing for the likes of Preston, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG, David Beckham is a Manchester United fan through and through.
As one of the Red Devils finest ever players, the mere thought of him ever donning a shirt of one of their closest rivals would make most United supporters come out in hives.
Well, unfortunately for them their worst fears might have been confirmed after Beckham was pictured holding a Manchester City shirt with 'Dave 7' printed on the back. Beckham reportedly hates being called 'Dave.'
This image of the former England captain looking less than impressed comes courtesy of a prank by Victoria Beckham who shared it on an Instagram story that has since been deleted.
The Late Late Show Host, James Corden and the couples son, Romeo was also tagged in the post which would suggest that there is more to this story than meets the eye but we'll just have to wait and see.
The image has since made its way to Twitter, where a few fans found it to be absolutely hilarious.
United fans needn't worry about Beckham setting up shop at the Etihad any time soon as he is firmly against United's oldest foes rise to prominence.
In 2011 he said; 'They are never going to be Manchester United.' Beckham is currently in the early stages of setting up his new US-based side Inter Miami FC.
