Trump said 'few work harder' than Jared and Ivanka and people had other suggestions

Donald Trump tweeted that 'few work harder' than his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, retweeting a photo Ivanka posted of her and her husband on their recent camping trip.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this sparked a lot of backlash on Twitter, for the second time on Ivanka's trip after she posted a photo of herself surrounded by countryside with the caption 'Where the wild things are.'

Once Trump had hailed his daughter and son-in-law as hard workers, the retorts flooded in from those pointing out the failures of the Trump administration, and mocking Ivanka's role as the 'Advisor to POTUS on job creation + economic empowerment, workforce development & entrepreneurship.'

That's according to her Twitter bio at least.

As you can imagine there were many replies that were quick to mention job layoffs throughout the country.

As well as jibes on the blatant nepotism involved in hers and Jared's roles within the Trump administration.

There were also those questioning what Ivanka's true political role is.

And of course satirical takes on their seemingly idyllic family portrait.

Many replies highlighted the discrepancy between Ivanka's family holiday and the families who have been separated at the border by immigration, with images of imprisoned children still very much the focus of people's outrage.

One user commented 'Can you see the children in cages from there?' whilst another replied 'Not for the children detained sadistically and illegally at the camps at our Southern Border.'

Ivanka's next tweet was a congratulations to her brother Eric on the birth of his new daughter Carolina, she did not respond to the comments on her holiday post.
