Dominic Raab said 'loyalty does not pay' and everyone made the same point

In the world of Brexit, irony disappeared an extremely long time ago, particularly on the Conservative Party benches.

One Tory who recently demonstrated this depressing fact is Dominic Raab.

Raab took to Twitter to quote tweet a post by consumer watchdog Witch? that stated that “loyalty does not pay”.

Responding to the tweet, he remarked:

This is so true…

Raab is not exactly known for loyalty. He resigned from Theresa May’s cabinet and then reportedly voted against her leadership in December’s confidence vote.

Given this, plus the Tories' reputation for backstabbing and conniving, many people are pointing out the irony of his statement.
