If you don't laugh you'll cry.
One Wednesday, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk received a letter from British Prime Minister Theresa May formerly triggering Article 50 and starting our country's exit from the European Union.
Naturally people were pretty upset - but from every dark day the Great British sense of humour emerges, to embrace everyone like a comfortable and cynical blanket.
