Another 'royal baby' was born this weekend. Her name is Francesca Marina

The second child of the duke and duchess of Cambridge, the fourth in line to the British throne, has been named as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

HRH Princess Charlotte was born on Saturday, and her arrival has dominated headlines in the UK and the wider world, even with the general election just days away.

While Charlotte was being welcomed into the world, hundreds of miles away another woman was going into labour in the Mediterranean, one of 6,800 people rescued while making the perilous journey to Europe from Africa.

She was rescued by the Italian navy, and while on board one their ships gave birth to a baby girl. Both mother and daughter are in good health.

Today it was revealed the little girl had been named Francesca Marina.

A tweet from the Italian branch of Unicef, the UN's children's agency, said:

Translated, it reads:

She is called Francesca Marina, she was born on an Italian navy ship in the sea of Sicily. And she is also a royal baby.

God.

Damn.

Right.
