Madonna flashes viewers on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Would Madonna really be Madonna without making anything less than a memorable TV appearance?

The singer sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night to talk about her Madame X show that’s now been released as a concert film.

While talking about the activist James Baldwin being the inspiration behind her show, Madonna shared one of her favourite takeaways from the novelist — disturbing the peace.

"One of the things I quote over and over again in the show is that 'Artists are here to disturb the peace,'" Madonna tells the late-night host. "I hope that I have disturbed not only your peace this afternoon, but people's peace while they watch the show—but I mean that in the best way."

"You get in good trouble,” Fallon says about the pop icon. Almost immediately after, Madonna — who was wearing a black minidress paired with lace tights — gets up to lay across his desk.

A noticeably flushed Fallon goes into a visible panic. “No, no!” the TV personality can be heard saying in between cheers from the audience. “Why would you?!” Fallon adds.

Of course, this moment could have been planned all along but if it wasn’t, Fallon’s reaction was pure gold. In response to Madonna’s actions, Fallon takes off his suit jacket and attempts to cover Madonna’s from revealing what’s under her skirt.

"No one's gonna see anything, my God!" Madonna quips as she gets off Fallon’s desk and makes her way back to her seat. Well, if no one saw anything the first time around, Madonna made sure the audience got a peek by lifting her skirt in a cheeky move.

A satisfied Madonna sits down as Fallon says “Oh my god” and covers his face.

"Life is not just about interviewing kiddies," the 63-year-old star tells Fallon. "Don't you want to talk to an adult?"
